Welcome to Milton Lodge

Milton Lodge Retirement Home is located in the heart of Colchester in Essex, and very close to local public transport routes. The Home has been beautifully furnished and our onsite handyman ensures the decor is regularly updated to keep the Home looking fresh. Milton Lodge is a registered care home that provides a high standard of care to its residents, whilst encouraging them to live as independently as possible by receiving care and support consistent with their needs.

About Us & Our Home

At Milton Lodge we welcome anyone over the age of 65, male or female. We offer person centred dementia care, and recommend an informal visit by the prospective resident and their family or friends. We have accommodation for 35 residents, and have a newly built 7 bedroom specialist dementia care unit.

The home also has 4 lounges and a dining room, with attractive views of the garden area. The beautifully landscaped gardens are totally secure for our service users, and we have a large summer house which the residents really enjoy using in the warm summer months, or can be used as a private area for friends and families to visit.

What We Offer

We employ two activities co-ordinators, ensuring that the residents have a wide variety of daily activities to do to keep them active and entertained. Activities include our knitting circle, movie afternoons, games and much more.

Events are held throughout the year, including our annual summer fete, barbecue’s, and Christmas parties; all of which family and friends are invited to.

Our residents enjoy many recreational events, outings and visits to local shops and the town centre plus weekly visits by a musician, together with other weekly entertainment.

Our carefully prepared traditional menus offer a combination of nutritional value and excellence. Individual tastes and preferences are catered for, as well as any special dietary requirements.
