The Willows is a brand new, purpose-built care home, registered to provide care for the elderly and those with dementia. The Home has been built to a very high specification and includes many new and modern facilities, such as a coffee shop and cinema room. At the rear of the Home is a beautiful professionally landscaped garden, and there is also a tranquil and relaxing courtyard situated in the middle of the Home, and accessible to all. The Willows is a located in the beautiful town of Ipswich, in Suffolk, and is a 5 minute drive from the town centre. There is lots to explore in the historic heart of the town, and the stunning waterfront.

About Us & Our Home

We aim to provide the highest standard of care to our residents, whilst encouraging them to live as independently as possible by receiving care and support consistent with their needs.

We have accommodation for 66 residents in beautifully decorated single rooms, all with en-suites. All bedrooms and communal areas are fitted with a nurse-call system and smoke alarm. All bedrooms are fully furnished, but residents are welcome to bring with them items of their own furniture by arrangement.

We provide care for anyone over the age of 65 male or female, and those living with Dementia – OP DE (E), including married couples or partners, who have reached a stage in their lives where they prefer to live in a home where all the support required for daily living is provided. We will provide cooked meals, refreshments, housekeeping and laundry services as well as personal care for our residents.

What We Offer

The home has been built to a very high standard, with a range of wonderful services included. We have a salon built and designed especially for the elderly, along with a coffee shop and cinema – all for the residents to enjoy. There are a number of lounges and dining areas that the residents can use, as well as a library and courtyard.

The home is set in large grounds, and the gardens are fully secured for peace of mind. We have special rooms dedicated to activities to keep the residents occupied and enjoying their time. Activities are given high priority in our home, and we pride ourselves on the range and variety of activities we offer our residents. However this does not only take place in the communal areas, as occasionally some residents may prefer to remain in their own rooms. In which case our Activities Co-ordinator will spend time with them too.

Any service provider which we use from outside the Home are subject to all the necessary checks undertaken by us. Our on-site experienced cook will prepare freshly cooked meals every day and residents can choose to have their meals in our homely dining rooms or in the comfort of their own room.

We have a special initiative which we run in all our homes called ‘Sparkle’. This is where we aim to make all our residents’ dreams and wishes come true. In the past we have taken residents to football matches, spa days and theatre outings. We hope to make many more dreams and wishes come true.

We will regularly hold events and parties. In the summer we will have garden parties, Summer Fetes and barbeques, and Christmas parties at the end of the year. We hope to have many events throughout the year that residents and their families can enjoy. All of these events also help us to fundraise for our residents, which enables them to enjoy special gifts, activities, or days out.
